We would like to see the 300,000 women that die from cervical cancer every year go down to zero with your help.
This is a simple and inexpensive way to save hundreds of thousands of women’s lives every year. This will be similar to when Dr. Papanicolaou utilized cytology in PAP tests to decrease the incidence of cervical cancer in the U.S. by 60%. The target will be the 90% of women in low-middle resource countries who never get screened due to access barriers and cost.

Help us raise money
Cure Cervical Cancer, Inc. has and will continue to provide Cure Cervical Cancer Kits to Project C.U.R.E., Global Cancer Care and Research Institute and other screen and treat clinics in Africa.
As we’ve read above, 90% of cervical cancer deaths are in low resource countries. Only 5% of the women are screened in these areas. When the PAP test was introduced in the U.S., in the 1950’s, it resulted in a 60% decrease in cervical cancer deaths. This model, with the Cure Cervical Cancer Kits, has the same ambition as the PAP test 70 years ago. We have the chance to bring screening and treatment of cervical cancer directly to the areas that need it the most. These are the areas where over a quarter of a million women die every year.
The kit includes: instructions for use, gloves, lubricant, specula, cotton-tipped applicators, a small bottle of 4% acetic acid and medical freeze for cryotherapy and the Gynocular (hand-held colposcope). We have partnered with Project C.U.R.E. whose mission is to distribute used and new medical equipment and C.U.R.E. kits to areas of need. We have screened over 225 women thus far in Paraguay and Panama. With these kits, we have detected and treated 24 women for precancerous and cancerous lesions of the cervix. The price to screen and treat a woman is $5.00 USD. This is a tremendous value for women. No other cancer screening and treatment can be accomplished for $5.00/person.

The project design is relatively straight forward. As donations and possible grants to Project C.U.R.E. and Cure Cervical Cancer, Inc. come in, both organizations will mount a rapid response to procure the contents of the Cervical Cancer Cure Kits. Project C.U.R.E. has volunteers at their warehouse in Centennial, Colorado who assemble the components into kits that can be boxed or placed in a backpack (C.U.R.E. Kits). These kits are either taken as luggage or can be shipped in shipping containers to designated areas. Once the shipment arrives, pre-assigned representatives with power-of-attorney ensure that customs officials release the kits to the minister of health or their representatives and the kits get delivered to their destination. Often this is a hospital or clinic. In the case of the missionaries, the kits are luggage and the providers carry the kits directly to their final destination. Certainly, the distribution of the kits is of utmost importance. Project C.U.R.E. has been doing this for 30 years and has a strong track record of deliverables.
Evidence-based studies have documented that VIA (visual inspection with acetic acid) is an accurate method to screen for pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions of the cervix. The scale-up phase of this project is already in place with Project C.U.R.E. participating with 111 countries that benefit from their distribution of medical equipment and C.U.R.E. Kits and their implementation within clinics, hospitals, missions and other health centers.
Cure Cervical Cancer, Inc., Project C.U.R.E., Global Cancer Care and Research Institute, World Health Organization and Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine are all established organizations committed to ethically helping and caring for all people.
